Castlewood is in the same boat as Rye Cove.
What a shame it isn't Norton at Appy this year first week.
    BTW-like your pic man-really fitting.

Norton was head and shoulders above all the teams at the jamboree, they looked very sharp! They have the speed to give teams fits.

TS needs a QB able to throw the ball to Dockery. Many of the passes were way off line and not even close. Most of his passes were intercepted. They had a tough running back!

Ervinton is much improved from the ast few years! Should be an exciting year for them.

I was impressed with Wise, they were better than I had expected. Although they have a little way to go Nobody needs to be looking past the Indians this season.

There was a ton of good licks and hard nosed football, just what any fan wants to see!

I agree, I wouldn't want to face Burton or Appy next Friday. Too bad Burton isn't playing at home Friday, there will be a nice suprise at the beginning of the game before they run through the smoke tunnell from what I have heard. Guess it will have to wait until the St. Paul game

I didn't even say what it was, you will just have to show up to see it.... Alot of people have been talking about it, so it isn't really a secret. I just don't want to say what it is and then somebody change their mind and not do it.

Kelly - The wishbone they ran was looking pretty good. Sproles and #99 are two good backs. Thier passing game it aint all there, but I guess that was expected. Their defense didn't look to bad against the pass or the run. They still need some improvement, but they will surprise a team or two.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If we go back to last year when some were bashing B.I. and the Kelly program I pointed out that I thought B.I. was using the wrong style offense for his team. I'm pretty proud of myself for picking up on that.

The passing game wasn't terrible. Dotson threw a pick that was rough, but his pass to Bently was a bomb and was dropped (ball was on the money). The TD pass to Gilliam (who also dropped one right on the money) was nice. The veer wasn't good at all for us. We need to stay in the wishbone with the guys we have. I was glad to see the change.

    Re: The Jamboree At Norton-Thoughts

Parks is a great runner.. but don't count out ALL the backs at E-town.. Anthony Honaker is extremely strong... benches a phenominal amount of weight and is quick as lightning... If I'm not mistaken... I think Honaker and Kiser stuck right with Parks at the regional track meet last year.. could be wrong.. but I'm pretty sure Im not... and James Kiser at E-town is strong and fast.... and Larry Phillips is NOT afraid to lower his shoulder and put a hurt on someone... he's quick and strong, as well.

I believe E-town is going to surprise LOTS LOTS LOTS of folks this year...
